I've read some reviews and it seems that a bunch of people are ticked off at this movie due to it being related to disabled people. Some people want to argue that this is the lowest form of comedy to make and pretty much would rather boycott this movie than do something better with there time. For those people, and people wondering about this movie, you should know that this movie was produced, endorsed, and promoted by the Special Olympics and Olympians. Most of the disabled actors in the movie are actual Special Olympians and this movie was used to give them a chance in mainstream Hollywood to show how truly special these people are. The movie carries a great positive message that can be relayed to youngsters as long as you talk to them about it and make sure they understand that message, and not just send them to the movie and then get mad at them when they laugh at someone falling down or speaking with a lisp. The movie is great, and I recommend it to anyone that wants to help support the Special Olympics, Olympians, and other disabled people that are more clever, smarter, and nicer than "normal" people. |
