What sets the Incredibles apart from other animated movies we've seen is it deals with sensitive topics like impotence fears, midlife crisis, child neglect, etc. There are no talking fish or insects. Instead, Brad Bird has made a film that breaks the protocol which animated movies seemed to have been following recently. Despite the first PG rating given to a Pixar
film, it delivers the perfect formula of a sublime comedy and emotions to the superhero wave that hollywood was hit with recently. At 115 minutes, being the longest-ever CG-animated film, it never junks up its script nor compromises on any other aspects.Bird has certainly crafted a film - one of the year's best. |
