i'm waiting for Pixar to screw up - i mean, how can they keep producing such great films over and over again. it's amazing how they've developed such a flawless track record. to be blunt, i can't stand Ellen DeGeneres and i'm not the world's biggest Albert Brooks fan. they both seem a bit tired and i never found them funny to begin with. it's a testament to Pixar that they managed to take this disadvantage (in my eyes) and still turn out a wonderful, beautiful tale that just so darn cute. the characters are wonderful, the textures of the animation are stunning, but it's the story that makes this picture one of the best films of the year. the folks at Pixar find joy in the littlest parts of our world, spinning tales of adventure on a pint-sized level that make the entire audience feel alive. what can i say - i loved it. so much so that i went without my 1-year old daughter - i simply couldn't wait! |
