The whole movie wouldn't be so bad if the lead actor was in the least believable as Pinoccio. From the moment I saw the receeding hairline I had to constantly remind myself that he wsa supposed to be a young puppet, not a simpering middle-aged man. The sets were gorgeous, the costumes wondrous, but the lead actor just ruined the magic. It's a shame they couldn't have used the voice over cast in the original production. |
