Not only was this remake, well done, but it could stand alone as one of the greatest cinematic achievements of the past decade. I went in worrying that they would ruin one of my favorite movies, performed by Peter Sellers. But, Steve Martin's performance was beyond an accurate immitation, it was spellbinding. If I were to say, I didn't weep at the end of this moving experience, I would be lying. I bawled like a baby. But the truth is, this was a marvelous movie, and one which should be required by the board of Education to be seen, by all New york, and American children, due its enormous societal Importance, in today's struggling world. Please, run, now, and buy a ticket, and your life will be altered forever. |
