I went into the theater with mediocre expectations, and I was rewarded with an above average television movie of the week with slightly above average acting. A really toned down storyline, with really fabulous characters who didn't come across as all that fabulous. Seth Green was the high point of the movie, and I must say that Mac did an all right job...at least he didn't smack his face and scream, m-kay? The biggest flaw that I observed was the below average screenplay...it was quite...choppy and distracting. Jumping from one scene to the next without much cohesion, but that might just be me, I'm a writer, and I expect a lot, and am quite often disappointed because of this. Overall, I enjoyed the film...loved Diana Scarwid in yet another campy movie. Not quite a camp classic, but close. Two and one half stars. See it if you have nothing else planned, like getting a pedicure or transforming yourself into a stunning six foot chicken. |
