First, let me state that I have not read the book (and never will) and I was irked at some of the F ratings I found from some viewers. Most of them were dissapointed with the Chinese actors portraying Japanese, the Asian stereotyping and not keeping with their version of history. They probably cried themselves asleep when Ben Kingsley played Ghandi. If you want historical facts, go see a documentary. If you want to see a great movie see this one. I loved this movie. It was touching and I found it to be the best love story/drama since "The English Patient". Go see it and let 'the others' knit pick "The Ringer". |
