Sadly to say...I've been 'Fockkerized'!

Let me begin by saying that I've never gone to a movie that prompted me to write a 'review'! However, in this case, I felt it my public duty to save others the price of admission!
I absolutely loved "Meet the Parents". I thought it was one of the funniest, and yet most poignant movies that I had ever seen. I mean, who couldn't sympathize with poor, hapless Greg Fockker, and the social situations in which he found himself? When I started seeing Trailers and previews of "Meet the Fockkers", I couldn't have been more excited. Although I wasn't thrilled with the casting choices, I thought this movie is going to be dynamite.
Unfortunantly, I have to report, after seeing this dreadful movie that the only dynamite to be found is watching this hap-hazard effort totally self-destruct. Virtulally all of the very few moments of actual humor in this movie are cobbled together in the trailers. Other than what you see there, not much is left.
Also, I have never in my life seen a movie where the boom microphone is visible in the shot more than this movie. Literally, it seemed as if every other shot had a visible boom mic. Pathetic. Can you say "rushed to market?" Do they not even edit these supposedly blockbutster movies before they put them out for public consumption?
Anyway, save your money and wait for it to be shown on network TV. I couln't even recommend this stinker for a video rental. Hope this helps... |
