Why 50% of people will not understand Kill Bill...

If you can't understand or merely respect the statements in the following list, you will not like KILL BILL and should not see it:
1. QT is not a mainstream director. He does not work for profit or reputation or the respect of the mainstream audience who all seem to believe that a movie is supposed to fit into a specific archetype. Movies are more than what the Academy deems as a "good" movie. (i.e. the check list that every one-dimemsional critic today seems to go through just to qualify that movie is "good," a process that has irreversibly deemed two Russell Crowe movies as the best movie of the year, a mantel that I find utterly despicable considering the wealth of film produced every year from all over the world. But that is a discussion for another thread.)
2. There is a such thing as a genre, which means not every movie is suppose to focus on character development, plot development, etc. KILL BILL is an experiment, an homage, a tribute to all the great slasher, kung-fu, and action movies of the past. The type of movies that employees at a Blockbusters rent for free because they can't take out the new releases, yet instead of finding something they use just to blow 2 hours on a work night, they see something that exhumes a hint of genius. QT was once one of these video store employees.
3. KILL BILL is a montage of all the mixed emotions audiences have felt in the old 60's, 70's, and 80's B-action films. It pays great homage to the Japanese who have seem to master this art, and it forces the audience to accept the cruelty and utter nausea of mortal combat. It takes the finer points of a number of great action movies and sews them together into a collage. It's as though the film saves the best part of every great action movie and projects them all at once, and the viewer is just suspended in disbelief of what QT has accomplished.
4. KILL BILL DOES NOT NOR WILL IT EVER desensitize people from violence. It's the stupid, worthless mainstream action films that seem to believe that stabbing or shooting a person only creates a gash that characters can make disappear by covering it up, and any bleeding will be quickly absorbed into their dark clothing. People have to understand than the heart is the largest muscle in the human body and at every second it is pumping gallons of blood through hundreds of feet of arteries and veins. If you lacerate an artery, or even worse cut a limb cleanly off, you will not bleed, you will GUSH...and GUSH...and continue to GUSH. If anything, KILL BILL does not lie about violence. It shows you the horrifying truth of playing with swords, and even as you're enjoying the beautiful artistry of QT's shots, you'll always be aware of how mortal every human being is.
Thus, even though the universe that QT creates is completely unbelievable, think of why he has made it unbelievable and reflect on how many universes in movies ARE believable. I mean, c'mon, Middle Earth?, Starship Enterprise?, Death Star? For now, why don't you idiots who gave QT an F go to Blockbusters to catch up on everything you've missed and give QT some f_cking respect? He's the only iconic director that's still true to his roots and isn't ashamed to admit it.
