First off, I'm a huge fan of the first film. Salva was 2 for 2 with the original and his film Clownhouse. I'd have to say this one is a miss. He went in the opposite direction of the first one. This was really Hollywood and really wasn't that fun of a movie. The two things that were good was the humor, and the Creeper. I mean no one really makes good monsters anymore, but Salva pulled it off with the Creeper. He's an awesome villain, in the ranks of the all time greats. But the movie was boring. Action till your sick. The relationship between the brother and sister in the first is what made it so great. It was so natural and believeable and made for some entertaining dialogue. This movie had none of those attributes and I'm disappointed. Tremendously! |
