Brilliant Ideas Put to waste.

I have not seen the first 'Jeepers Creepers' but my friends said that it was OK and there were only a few good parts so I decided that I could see the sequel to it without being lost for halfway through the movie. First of all I think that the idea of high schoolers trapped on a bus in the middle of nowhere without any parents is a great idea, but you have to know how to put it to good use. It's almost as if director Victor Salva found an original setting and mixed it with unoriginal plots, ideas, etc. and then what do you get? Jeepers Creepers 2. There are certain movies that if you don't see the first one then you can't see the sequel to it, thats because the sequel continues the story and doesn't stop it. But someone could of have walked into this movie and have never heard of it because Jeepers Creepers 2 doesn't continue the story at all. Its more of a 'Ok, lets make another one, throw in wild pointless ideas, and get lots of money' kind of movie. There is a scene when a girl is pushed out of a driving truck and she is never seen again. The movie ends with a flash into the distant future, but before that I wondered ''What happened to the remaining surviving kids?". I found myself wondering alot about the characters who seemed as if they were just running around WAITING to be killed. The characters here are the stupidest that I have seen in any horror movie yet. There is a scene when The Creeper looking through a window and choses which student he wants to eat, and he lets him know it too. Then later 'The chosen student' walks under a hole on the top of the bus knowing that the creeper is there since he just attacked a student, but this 'suspensful moment' is ruined when....well..nothing happens. The characters are terrible, they don't know where they're going, what they're saying( There is a character constantly saying'C'mon, we need to get out of this bus' but it is as if he is saying''C'Mon guys, lets walk out into the pitch black darkness while the creeper is flying around outside and lets not take any defense weapons either, lets go helplessly out there.), and the plot is terrible. I strongle do not recommend this movie to anyone. |
