Not original but a better version...

I went into this movie expecting something a little closer to "Saw" after seeing the previews. Not that I thought Saw was a great movie but I thought it was clever and original. I liked the twists and suprises of Saw and I am a fan of "horror" films and thought it was a good one.
Getting back to THIS Movie; Again, I hoped for something different and from the previews I fully expected a chilling suspense movie. That it was not. It was however interesting, although reminiscent of Butterfly Effect, it was a definate better version of the "Changing the future" bit. The acting was better and the I cared more about the characters and what happened to them than the ones in Butterfly.
Overall I would have to say that I was slightly dissapointed that it wasn't a little more "freaky" and suspensful and I am glad I went to a matinee for it rather than spending $10. I doubt this movie will win any awards at Oscar time but if you have about 90 minutes to kill some afternoon, I think you will be entertained though maybe slightly confused at times. |
