I liked the movie overall. I thought the only bad points of the movie that really degraded the storyline was the introduction of Weezy Joe and the part he played in the movie. I can't see the hiring of a hitman to kill your wife, then she hire him back to kill you, and then you both forgive each other and get back together. How easy is that to believe? The only part of the movie, that the character of Weezy Joe even made worth watching was the mixup he had with the inhaler and the gun. Besides that, the other old weezing, chest-hacking partner of Miles that showed up in 3 separate scenes was the only other character that I think didn't add to the movies' plot. Catherine Zeta-Jones and George Clooneys acting, especially within their relationship and witty remarks were of exceptional quality among actors of their high caliber. One of the strong points of the movie was the use of characters, that in most movies would be dropped from the beginning of the movie once their initial use was established. The producer sets the story into motion with the initial characters, drops them out of the story for most of the movie (which allows for the main characters to interact and really get the movie going), then in a quirky way brings back those characteras you think dropped from the movie, and uses them to further the storyline and end the movie with all the characters and their fitting roles. Overall, I'd say an A for the movie. Go out and see it. Look for tons of laughs and don't think for a second you have Catherines' plan figured out before it unfolds! Look for the always annoying weezing partner and weezy Joe. |
