I really liked this film.
I thought it was very intelligent and moving. It made me think of an often forgotten group and their story - those African Americans who passed as white and continue even today to pass as white.
At last a film that makes you think. I was shocked by the casting, and I am still not totally convinced that Hopkins was the right choice, but he has such great screen presence that I forgot my initial reservation.
I love the themes, the irony, racism, classism, lack of courage, the political correctness... themes that are very relevant today.
I thought the entire cast was very good. |
