Nicole Kidman, talented as she is, is hopelessy miscast as tough broad janitor abused wife. She's too delicate and refined for this role. Anthony Hopkins is even a worse choice to play a Jewish/Black dude passing for white. He inhabits the characteristics of none. Benson is the wrong director and has taken all the balls out of the book and turned it into a loaf of soggy white bread. |
