I didn't go in there expecting oscar performances, but I did expect a good chuckle or two. What I got was several belly laughs and some tears (from laughing so hard) at several points. This is however one of the kind of movies that you need to have experienced an annoying neighbor or maybe person at work or school to appreciate. Somebody you couldn't get away from for whatever reason. I thought Drew was not the best choice for the female lead for this movie, just not her thing. However, Stiller and the old lady were GREAT! It has some things I didn't see coming, especially the ending. Sure, some of it has been done, but I expect that given that I'm sure I've seen several hundred movies in my lifetime and I'm only in my mid 20's. I sure WASN'T looking at my watch and I left with a smile on my face. |
