...say it isnt so but live free or die hard is excellent...no matter how much you want to bag it saying that bruce willis is old, thats it been too long, and that the movie is pg-13, the truth is that this movie rises up and can immediately be considered to be apart of the die hard franchise...
from the moment i heard that this movie was going to be made into a pg-13, i almost gave up all hope...not be able to hear john mclane use the f-word like in the previous three movies was going to be quite a change...and that was really the only thing the pg-13 rating did to hold back this movie...you could on numerous occasions when the f-word would have been sufficient but instead was held back and some other ad-lib was used...
that however was the only thing that the pg-13 rating did to hurt the movie (and that is only a very small set-back)...bruce willis in this movie that he still has it left in him to bring us a hardcore action movie that actually has a strong story that keeps us engaged throughout...justin long serves as a great sidekick to willis in this movie (although he is no samuel l. jackson)...
but seriously, this movie is excellent...it is right up there with the previous three movies (with the first still being the best of course) and i definitely recommed that you go see it...now... |
