For all of you who are comparing this to "the original" need to do some research. "The original" is actually a book, and thats what this movie is based on. The original (the book) actually had a dark side to it, not a large one but a darkside non-the-less, and that is what Depp and Burton are bringing out. If this were a remake it would be called "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". |
