overall 2.5 stars. this isn't a romantic comedy. the story had potential, but the problem is that none of the characters were developed, and it didn't make any sense.
Premise: girl comes from white trash background and she tries to break from it by becoming a white collar career girl in TV. she meets rich, handsome guy, and after 2 dates, never calls again after meeting her family. Here's the part that doesn't make sense- she likes her family...there was no conflict and it made no sense when he came back, realizing that he "blew it" w/ her (because they only had 2 dates)... it had potential to be a white version of joy luck club, but it was disappointing, although watchable. Very few "funny" parts, decent acting, but too many holes in the storyline. Be warned that this isn't a romantic comedy! |
