"Beyond Borders" is a memorable film not because of it's story about two torn lovers, but because the whole story behind them. It is the most incredible, touching story about how Sarah Jordan, who works at an art gallery, is at a banquet for an AIDS charity run by her father-in-law, when she sees Nick Callahan. Nick comes storming in with Jojo, a starving Ethiopian child, his only friend, and gives an emotionally ripping speech. Sarah has found her calling, and decides she can't let these helpless people starve and die of numorous diseases without her trying to help them first. And so her mission, and her and Nick's passion, begins.
The reason this film is so intense is because the death and hunger is REAL. It's really happening right now and you, reading this, don't even have a clue. Go see this movie, indulge yourself and get lost in it. It is a truely memorable movie...you'll contemplate your own life and find joy in the simple things; it'll leave you pondering for days. |
