What I'm going to do is split this movie up into it its pros and cons, and I think that this'll be helpful you're in the mood for Pros: -Bad Boys II takes the same car chases you've seen over and over again, but whats special about Bad Boys II is the way Michael Bay approaches these scenes; the editing and sound makes them as chaotic for the audience as they are supposed to be for the characters. What's refreshing is that Martin Lawrence's character, Marcus Burnett, sort of takes the words right of your mouth during these scenes as he's trying to figure out what is happening as well. -You'll hear a lot of critics putting down the movie for it's violent content; but to be frank, after decades of violence in the media, for today's audience to really hate action-movie villains, they have to be over-the-top cruel. During this movie I actually found myself rooting for the heros, rather than just waiting for the bad guy to just die already. -The comedy is hit or miss, but when it does hit, you'll more than just chuckle and when it misses, you won't cringe from it. Cons: -Do not expect to know why the events on the screen are happening, I began to doubt whether they were even trying to let you know. -This movie is way too long with a lot of moments where it could of just ended and everybody would've been happy. -The bickering between Smith's and Lawrence's characters gets annoying fast. Bottom Line: You're going to be entertained if you want to be, but if you got a bug up your butt, just pass on the movie and avoid looking like a dull person. |
