I went to see this with my girlfriend, not knowing much about it, but I have to say I was impressed. Josh Harnett protrayed a memorable, real character who has loved and lost. The movie told the story about how love and fate can be changed and set on a different course despite a person's choice or intent. The screenplay was very unique and visually appealing. It uses flashbacks as an important feature, and is diced up and mixed around. It took a while and a bit of discussion to fully understand what was going on, but it's always a good thing for a film to evoke discussion and critique. The snow of Chicago was an excellent touch and provided a unique feel for the environment. For all this, I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would, and would recommend it. |
