The exposure this movie received from the press has been above average for an independent movie, even the NYTimes wrote a feature story on the "zombies" of this film. I tend to brush that off, thinking that this would be another horror movie with a great director, fair acting and not much substance. What I received from the film itself was much more. The gritty filming, along with the semi-realistic story line made this movie beautiful in a rustic sort of way. I left the theater feeling excited because I just saw something more than a movie, it was an experience. The film went above all my expectations. However, I don't recommend it to those who love Hollywood trash movies...just go and rent scream schmuks! |
