True story of a sailor named Antwone Fisher (Derek Luke), who is on the verge of being kicked out of the Navy due to him getting in endless and numerous fights. When his Navy psychiatrist (Denzel Washington) tries to help him out, Fisher finally settles down to tell him about his childhood and the family he never knew. Determined to find the family that abandoned him, his journey stretches out to a length of questions and hopes. I have to admit that I actually cried at the end of this film, and that is something I never do, but this film really got to me and showed how much determination can get you. At the end, Fisher finds his family that he longed to find for a very long time. |
