This is the Next Generation's version of Star Trek II: the Wrath of Khan. Just like Khan had a personal hatred for Captain Kirk, the villian in this film hates Captain Picard with every fiber in his body. Just like Spock sacrificed himself to save the crew in Star Trek II, one of the TNG characters commits the ultimate act to save the crew. It will be interesting to see if they bring back this character, like they brought back Spock in Star Trek III: the Search for Spock. If you are a Star Trek fan, you will love this film and will never forget the ending. For everyone else, you will like this film if you like action movies. |
