You either love it or hate it. Great acting sometimes over the top. Bad story, dull to almost pointless. The music was okay, I wouldn't run out to buy the soundtrack or the DVD.
I didn't like it because Viriginia Woolf was my least favorite writer. I preferred readings by Edith Wharton, Jane Austen, or The Brontes. That might be why I just can't get into The Hours. I wanted to like it and be cool like everyone else but I gave up and moved on.
I recommend only for avid Nicole Kidman fans. Others beware, because not even Meryl Streep could save this movie. |
