This movie is one of my favorite movies. This movie made me realize that Del Toro had some great acting skills, hardly recongized by many. He made some people think blank and put his image in their heads for a long time (an impact). For example, at a scene when Benicio Del Toro (Aaron) began to realize that he is insane, setting was in a bedroom, all lights focus on his bunkbed and him staring few spots, thinking hard and visualizing things. I'm impressed with Del Toro's dexterity with hands in the movie, most people can't do the stuff like stab, twist, slice and gut fast in pattern when they learned when they were in army, taught by Tommy Lee Jones. I think they won oscar awards because of their skills in the movie not what the dialogues were or the story itself. Recommended to watch but alot of blood and gore (caution for youngsters and mothers). It is not fast paced nor boring, according to what happened in the movie, about 50% are dialogues while the rest is action/scenic settings. |
