When you look at the different aspects of the movie (story, visuals,...) it's kind of disappointing. But the movie as a whole is actually quite enjoyable. I didn't want to see the movie at first, but i'm glad i did! Paul Hunter did an OK job at trying to direct a movie, but still has a lot to learn. The story is really bad; it's slightly offending, some things don't make sense, some aspects are just thrown in the middle without explanation,...It's sad to see they didn't even try to come up with a good story. So what did i enjoy about the movie? Well, the action scenes were entertaining even though the 'special effects' were not that great, the acting was good...i love the chemistry between Chow Yun-Fat & Seann William Scott, they are so great together. It's quite funny at times, even though it doesn't always mean to be. Overall, it's an entertaining movie which could've been a lot better but still manages to be descent enough thnx to the lead actors! Go see it, you really might enjoy it if you don't expect too much. |
