The BeeGees once wrote a song entitled, "How Deep Is Your Love?". The "Secretary" is what that song was written for. As a psychologist myself I was pleased with the portrayal of the two main characters, their disorders, and thier struggles. All the aspects of this film are a tight rope but I would like to focus this review on the actual plot, the love story it told. I am choosing this because as a women I usually get insulted by the superficial garbage they call "love" in most popular movies. I actually apprectiated the relationship between the two main characters and for the first time, I was actually moved. I would like to thank those that birthed this film for making something challenging to the norm and even more to the norms perception of what it really means to love another. |
