About a boy was definately a memorable film for me. It was a very moving and entertaining film. What i personally loved about this movie was that at times it blends in sadness with happiness. When you see the ordeals that Nicholas' character Marcus, as to go through, you actually start to feel that this movie is a gloomy and negative movie but it's not. Something funny always happens after that and it creates a more positive outlook for the movie.
About a boy is not a movie for everyone. If you enjoy comedy but delicate comedy, this movie is perfect for you. This movie offers alot of charm and Hugh Grant fans will certainly be pleased with it. However, it you enjoy hard core comedy and want laugh till you cry laughs, you will hate about a boy. It will get extremelly boring for you if you are one of those people. The story of the movie is very original. It's not a storyline that you would see in other movies because it stands out. That's what made About a boy a movie i enjoy to watch. |
