Imagine the prospect of working at Wal-Mart, developing photos. You have no human contact except through the facade you put up during your 9-5 shift. You live alone, naturally, eat frozen TV dinners and make a big mural of photos on the wall of your lonely apartment. Photos of happy people, smiling, interacting people. But this just adds to your sense of lonliness. So what do you do, when you might soon be fired also? Take revenge, you crazy. But do it slowly, on camera, like Robin Williams (yes shockingly THAT Robin Williams)does in this expertly done drama that's about human emotion more than anything else. It's about how not connecting with people, whether it be on a physical or emotional level, is potentially devasting to the human spirit. The will to live a productive life. Is it bumming you out already? If not check this movie out, and see what happens if you isolate yourself. How through no fault in your own you become something, someone, to fear. You'll end up crying, I felt so bad for Sy. I wanted to give him a hug, tell him "we'll all float on okay man." That's the biggest complement I can give this flick.
