I must admit, I found "The Sweetest Thing" to be a bright, funny comedy. The film never was too sacharine, and I found myself laughing occasionally.
Tell us about Christina Walters. Cameron Diaz plays Christina Walters, somewhat of a tease. She has experienced many one night stands. One day, while she takes out her friend Jane, (Selma Blair) who was recently dumped by her boyfriend, out for dancing, Christina meets a guy she thinks she loves. His brother invites her to his wedding, and Christina and her best friend Courtney (Christina Applegate) head off to find Christina's true love. During the trip the two experience some hilarious misadventures.
The story was quite boring. If it had been something more exciting, this would have been a great movie. But it never becomes a good movie, just okay.
If you enjoyed this movie, you'd probably enjoy "American Pie" and "Bridget Jones's Diary." |
