if 1 is things i really dislike, and 10 is things i adore, then it would come as no challenge where i would place slackers, as it is the funniest teen comedy going.
Slackers is funny, very funny! the acting is brilliant and Jason Schwartzmans performance as "psycho" Cool Ethan is unforgettable. There are brilliant sketches, too many to mention, and writing them down would not do them the slightest justice.
The film has, on several occasions, been accused of being plotless, i personaly disagree, but perhaps my love for Schwartzman has made me bisaed.
Sitting comfortably at no 1, in my 1 - 10 list - are film critics! Their reviews are more predictable then any rom-com, and they pretty much go like this - eventless art house productions using fairly unknown or vaguely old actors which can be hailed as slightly intellectual get a big fat thumbs up!
anything featuring teenagers, or the notion of sex - thumbs down thank you very much!!
This film is funny, sweet, and once again funny! Just switch your brain off, and sit back to this easy going extremely crude comedy! |
