Although this movie doesn't have much of a believable storyline, it's a good film to rent one day or even buy. The acting was really good and this was Matthew McConaughey's best role ever. Christian Bale pulls off a very good acting job as Quinn, a young man who was only a boy when the first dragon was released and started a true hell on earth. The visuals were incredible. The dragons looked really cool, were very realistic, and appeared kinda scary. Some of the aspects of the story are possible, but just the whole thought of accidentally uncovering a massive dragon is unlikely. I did however like how the dragons were not invincible as McConaughey's character points out: "If you take one out, you bring down the beast," referring to the dragon's organs. I liked the idea of having only one male that dominated all of the others dragons. This made them scene a lot more vulnerable to know only one male was fertilizing the females. The whole atmosphere of the movie was dark and cool. Is this the best dragon movie made? Probably...but some of the scenes were kinda cheesy when they played up Quinn as the "Knight in Shining Armor" in a dragon story. He even has a horse because gas is very limited. Cool movie. I would definetly recommend it. |
