Just a good, brainless, horror flick

Okay, the movie isn't Oscar-worthy, but who the heck would expect that? Resident Evil is just purely for the two hour thrill of seeing people get sliced and diced and eaten alive. I love the Residen Evil series due to the games and story. It veers a bit from the games, but that's a good thing b/c who would want to sit for two hours already knowing what to expect? The ending is a great tie in for a sequel which I highly anticipate, Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
Overall, the movie doesn't make you think a lot (which is a good thing), but it may be a little gross for the queasy people (which is a bad thing). The special FX isn't top notch, but the director didn't get a really high budget in the first place. The plot isn't as bad as the stupid critics say they are. They're not even familiar with the story so what right do they have to criticize?
Watch the movie. It's well...memorable. |
