I was surprised on how much I liked this movie. Colin Hanks does a credible job and looks like his father Tom. Also, he has very good chemistry with Schuyler Fisk, who is Sissy Spasek's daughter. But, it's Jack Black who steals this film, he is very funny and the scenes where Hanks' family ruins his chances for Stanford is hilarious. Worthy mention to John Lithgow and Catherine O'Hara, they are also very funny as well. The movie loses focus and become preachy at the end, but still it is a good movie. |
