when I was watching Death To Smoochy, I was almost
ashamed of liking it-the critics reviews were not very good, at least Ebert and Roeper and Maltin didn't like it much-but I enjoyed it a lot- it's probably the funniest film of the year-although definetely not the best. Norton, as usual, is great. Williams is memorable, not deserving the Razzie nomination that he got. Catherine Keener is sexy and funny (just like in Being John Malkovich) and is co-starring with good talent. anyway, to say the least, Death To Smoochy is a great dark comedy. |
