I had a review once, but I guess Yahoo purged it. Here's something from a website which sums up my feelings toward the movie. It is written by Sean McKellips in the MM website. the movie that changed my life Posted: May 5, 2003 11:54 PM Reply I am writing this to let everyone know that the movie A Walk to Remember changed my life forever...before I start let me tell you a little bit about my girlfriend...When Britannie was 10 years old she was diagnosed with cancer...a malignant brain tumor to be more specific...originally they assumed it inoperable...well after about a year of various treatments and chemotherapy the tumor was under control enough to operate on...so by age 11 she was in remission from the surgery that almost took her life...it's been 6 years since the surgery and she has been in remission and feeling fine...when I got together with her I knew her storyand I was always scared for her...I knew she was the one I was destined to be with from the start...there was just something different about this girl...smething special...something that made me wasnt more for myself...for both of us...I came across the movie completely by accident...my friend had several movies for a quarter apiece and that one just struck me as interesting...I watched it and immediately fell in love with it...it was such a great story and I balled so hard at the end...i know it's probably not cool for a guy to say he cries but it's true...I cry and my baby knows it...I have a much better handle in my emotions than most other guys and I think that a guy who can cry is a very sensitive and caring guy...anyways I'm rambling...I saw the movie and it really touched me so I got an idea...I set up a picnic at sunset in a park and I set up a projector...we watched the sunset while we ate and watched "A Walk to Remember" under the stars...it was magic...she saw this movie and it really hit home...for both of us...how fragile life is and how close we came to never having an opportunity to meet and fall in love...I waited until the last credit rolled and looked over at her and...with tears in her...and my eyes I took a knee and looked her in the eye and asked her to marry me...we're engaged now and I think that we reached a new height of love...I realized that something could happen at any moment that could tear us apart...I never leave her side without telling her how much I love her and how important she is to me...It just goes to show you that something that you think may just be for entertainment can change a life...it sure did mine thank you Mandy...wherever you are Sean McKellips and if you're reading this Britannie...I love you my lady...always and forevermore ------------- "our love is like the wind...I can't see it but I can feel it"
