I saw this movie (A walk to remember) only two days ago. I still feel lucky that I came to know the name of this movie by virtue of one of my classmates. Truly speaking, this is one of the best movies I have ever seen in my entire life. It is still unimaginable to me how a movie can be so touching, emotional and tragic.
I am not a great fan of romantic movies because to my opinion, most of them are not clean enough to watch with the whole family like parents, sister or brother. But this movie is the first exception, I have ever seen. The movie is so neat and clean but so romantic and touching that I cannot express with some humble words. As soon as I finished the movie, I felt that my eyes were full of tears and I could not resist myself from crying. I cried at least a couple of minutes and suddenly felt, "what is the meaning of this life when it is so light and short?" The person I love the most in my life, will die in front of me leaving all the memories behind and I cannot do anything. How helpless we are! I realized this truth once again. But even though people love each other. According to me, love is the backbone of life and it is pure and sacred. From our childhood, we learn to love our parents naturally and when we grow up, we suddenly meet someone who seems to be very special for us. Again the word "love" comes to true.
In this movie, the love of Jamie and Landon is so well portrayed that I can not explain it properly here. To my opinion, love is more vast than something to say like "I love you" or some physical relationship. It is deeper, more intense and more passionate. Actually it is the the connection and harmony between the hearts or precisely speaking the souls. So when two persons are in true love with each other, they can do anything for each other. Like in this movie, Landon has shown his true love to Jamie by fulfilling all her wishes one after another and by cherishing the love inside him even after her death up to the end of his life. He has realized at last that like the wind the true love only can be felt but never can be seen.
Not only that, the transformation of Landon is well depicted in the movie. He has changed his life totally and has left all his friends only because of Jamie. Yes, this is described as a miracle by Jamie's father. But I believe that love itself is a miracle and it is one of the most supreme gift from Almighty.
Again, the song "Only Hope" by Mandy Moore is wonderful. I do not know the exact words to describe or praise this song. To speak the truth, this is one of her best songs and it is so touching that actually the song itself tells the whole story. The characters of Jamie, Landon and all others are so perfectly played that it is impossible to differentiate from the real life. I can say that this is not just a movie, this can be a story of life. After I had watched the movie, I thought that if I had any chance before the making of this movie, I would rather request the director to give it a positive end. But after a while, I thought that this is actually a story of life so it should not be an exception, as I earlier mentioned.
I feel that I will never forget this movie in my whole life and the story of this movie will be ever green in the core of my heart. Anyway, towards the end, I have to say that those who have not still watched this movie, should watch it right now. |
