First of all, I absolutely disliked Mandy Moore before this movie. I didnt like her songs (although, I think she does have a good voice) and I didnt like the whole Britney Spears-genre. I watched this movie expecting to check my brains at the door, but that wasnt what happened. I think the movie is warm, sincere and not overly-done. The plot is not very original, but hey, what happens in life is not always NEVER-DONE-BEFORE-IN-THE-MOVIES either. The acting by Mandy Moore was surprisingly truthful and believable. Shane West wasnt bad at all. I love the cinematography- how the colors are warm and earthy. I also like the soundtrack- it made me a Switchfoot fan. But what really, really touched me in this movie is that it taught me something about love and that it inspired me as a female, teen Christian. |
