I Am Sam is a compelling drama with great acting. Sean Penn brings warmth and realism to his character, as Sam Dawson. Newcomer Dakota Fanning shines showing great potential as Sam's Loving daughter. The film has its downsides in the story seeming overly dramatic and improbable(unlike its predecessor "Rainman").
