This film for me just didn,t cut the mustard.
It had all the right elements,Speilberg directs, story by Philip.K.Dick. and starring Tom Cruise.
Admittedly it is a dark story and has dark themes throughout but ends up too weak at the core.
Tom Cruise is excellent as John Anderton but the rest of the characters are irritating and weak except for Max Von Sydow and Samantha Morton.
Also didn't like the way Speilberg uses filters on the camera to filter out colour. Gives the film a chrome feel.
Interesting storyline and cleverly directed, well paced, good visuals but a bit too serious and dark.Should leave these type of films to Ridley Scott. |
