Black Hawk Down is one of the best damn war films I've ever seen. From start to finish its all action packed littrily saying.
Based on the true story of a conflinct in Somolia. In Somolia an evil dictator is causing mass genocideby starving his people. In response the America has sent in the Rangers and Delta Forces aid UN humantrin mission. The raid you saw was a retaltion by Americans on an attack on a UN convoy. It was supose to be a go in get out mission that becomes a 24 hour battle. Two choppers are shot down by opprtives of Osoma Bin Ladin, leaving severl Rangers trapped. The battle ends the next day when the UN forces and Delta Forces go into the city to rescue them. The result is 20 Americans are killed and an unkown of Somolians killed also.
Except the first and last 5 minutes of the film it all nothing but shooting, things blowing up, and blood. This somthing you would expect from Jerry Brocknimer and Riddle Scott. IF you like a good war film then Black Hawk Down is it. |
