This movie, although as tipical a subject might be, deals with the subject at hand once more. Interracial relationships. This film shows the hardships that some couples in serious interracial relationships must deal with. We rarely address the subject in every day life. It is very seldom brought up. It also transcends the relationship by adding a twist, not only is she African-American but, her family is from the Carribean. She must explain to them why she is with a Caucasian man. It's like a Carribean twist to "Bend It Like Beckham". They are both comical movies that deal with one major point needing to be addressed in today's society. |
