The 8th installment to the Halloween series doesn't give it's audiences quite a scare at all. Although some parts may look terrifying or intense, they still don't make us want to watch it for 90 minutes. The film is about 6 young college students who decide to spend the night of the childhood home of Michael Myers, the crazy and brutal masked murderer who has never been stopped. After Jamie Lee Curtis' unfortunate death in the beginning, events rise as Michael Myers returns to his small town, Haddonfield, again, noticing that the teens are planning to stay in his home to win some cash and fame. Sure enough, he comes back and know wants to kill them all, obviously. There is barely any terror or gore in the movie which pleases some watchers, but still makes them want to watch the film for no reason. The ending is sort of unfortunate as you wonder, well is Michael Myers finally dead or not, and still, the producers and film companies are wondering if they should make Halloween 9 and 10. The film is nothing more then a weekend rental, probably good to watch during Halloween, if not, watch the first film, it's way better and a lot more scarier. |
