This film is complex but in the end its quite simple.
This is the possibly the best film I have ever seen.
It explores everything I love about Fame and Hollywood and everything I hate.
I feel that Naomi Watts is truly something special after seeing this film. I cant imagine Kidman, Streep, Moore, Halle Berry, Jennifer Connolly or any other recent Oscar winning actresses daring to play this role. She is gonna be HUGE. This is a dream role for this actress and she makes the part amazing.
I had to watch it 4 times and then it was the first movie I ever bought on DVD.
My only doubt is with the bloody Lynch dwarf bit -but the other surreal moments make perfect sense.
People without patience, curiousity or artistic inclination generally hate it.
But I feel like someone got inside my head, explored my ideas, fantasies and ego and then made this movie as some kind of dream-like reflection of my mind. |
