The movie follows a mother (Bev) who is trying to make a life for her son as well as herself. After being shunned by her father for being pregnant in her early teens. Her father forces her into marriage to a guy who she didn't think she was going to marry. The acting had its flaws (Bev's husband in the movie didn't seem well casted), though Drew delivered the best piece of acting I have seen in a while. The script was based on a true story, but still seemed to be lacking something.
"Isn't a mother supposed to love her son?" Is one of the questions asked in the movie. Bev (Drew) Loved her son, but couldn't tolerate him because she believed he ruined her life.
The visuals aren't spectacular but that doesn't really matter because the tale is grim, kind of like a titanic versus sob story- except noone really dies. |
