The first question that comes to mind is why this movie was made in the first place? It just seems to have no purpose. Anyway, I thought it was not so bad until the end. But the battle at the end was just too dumb. Why the director didnt send all his troops in before it was too late remains a mystery. Like if he was suddenly a total idiot or waited so that it could make a show. Then you have the prisoners with their cafeteria plates stopping the train of soldiers with armor running at them. And finally, how come nobody realized that Irwin (Redford) was raising the flag not upside down? I mean, he didnt attach it in the air, he had to start it from the ground no? Everyone should have seen right away that the flag was not upside down. It then makes no sense that the director shot Irwin down because he thought Irwin was raising the flag upside down... All in all, I dont consider that I lost my time watching the movie, it was just average, but Id rather watched a better movie instead. |
