I'll admit that the only reason I saw this movie was because I'm a Star Wars fan, and Hayden Christansen plays one of the most important parts in George Lucas' saga. However, I became enthralled by all of the emotion this film portrayed. Anger, sadness, joy, love, and hate are all touched upon in this dramatic tale of a man who learns that he has only a couple of months to live. This story is a tear jerker, that will make even the toughest people feel some sort of compassion for the characters involved. Hayden Christansen and Kevin Kline truly shine in this film as they completly capture an estranged father-son relationship. The movie has its weirder moments, but they are all necessary to convey the strange relationship the family has. A must see for any true movie lover, I guarantee you will like it if you are in the mood for a depressing movie :) |
