I wish they hadn't made this

Wishmaster 1 & 2 were pretty good. Wishmaster 3 on the other hand stinks. First off the actor who made the Djinn an interesting character isn't here. Instead replaced by Sean Connerys son. He lacks the coolness and charisma that Andrew Divoff gave the role in part one and two. The Djinn is an evil b*stard for godsakes not a straight talking professor. Second, the story is boring and predictable. Also, continuity with the first two is non-existent and they introduce some silly fantasy elements like sword fighting and angels. The wishes come in short supply that have little irony to them although I suspect this is due to the extremely low budget rather than the writers. The acting is bad and the direction, well, directionless. Not much more to say. |
